On March 1, I decided to fly United Airlines from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Denver International Airport (DEN) specifically to fly a variant of the Boeing 777 – even in economy class. I wanted to fly on a widebody aircraft at least once in my life, having all my other flights on narrow-body single-aisle aircraft like the Airbus A220-300, the Boeing 737 MAX 8– among other 737 variants like the 737-700on the Alaska Airlines Milk Run, the De Havilland Dash 8-400, and the Embraer E175. I expected a cavernous cabin with a smooth ride, and for the most part, with few exceptions, I received the unique experience I paid for. Since I was taking my Boeing 777-200 ride with United Airlines, I also expected decent amenities such as WiFi and a comfortable seat.
