Over 500 Seats: US Flights On Very High Capacity Aircraft

A typical US flight has 134 seats per departure, heavily influenced by many regional jets on domestic links. This rises to 193 seats per flight for all international routes and 278 for long-haul operations. These results are based on analyzing every scheduled service between May and December using Cirium Diio data. Most notably, seven routes deploy aircraft—always the Airbus A380—with 500 or more seats.
