Google is reportedly planning to invest US$6 billion to establish its first data centre in India, with a planned IT load capacity of 1GW that would make it one of the largest such facilities in Asia-Pacific.
Dhiraagu said on Monday that it has inaugurated its third data centre in the Maldives – this one being a certified Tier III facility in N. Velidhoo, which also makes it the first to be located in the atolls.
Microsoft announced on Tuesday that it will invest US $3 billion in India in cloud and AI infrastructure over the next two years, including new data centres and skills development, as part of a broad initiative to develop the country’s AI ecosystem.
