The Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA), which serves as an agency of the United States government tasked with regulating civil aviation in the country, is looking to reduce the risk of collisions between helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. This initiative has arisen following a crash at the start of the year, with the FAA focusing on several hotspots. One of these is Las Vegas Harry Reid Airport (LAS).
