Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air is no stranger to sustainability efforts. The airline is, statistically, the most sustainable operationally of any carrier in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. In the 2024 fiscal year, the airline was able to achieve its carbon emissions intensity target of just 52 grams per revenue passenger kilometer (RPK), among the lowest in the industry and by far the lowest in Europe.
