United Airlines, along with Southwest Airlines to a lesser extent, is partnering with Archer Aviation to provide eVTOL connections between the New York City metropolitan airports and downtown Manhattan vertiports. The eVTOL partnership aims to offer customers easier transfers from the metropolitan airports to the downtown heliports of New York City. While there is some competition from jet turbine helicopters offering similar services, eVTOL provides convenient connectivity and safety. Ultimately, eVTOL promises to deliver business travelers and other luxury passengers an environmentally friendly, speedy commute away from congested roads and public transit.
