Digicel Samoa cleared to offer 5G, taps Nokia for upgrades

Axiata Group announced on Monday that its shareholders approved the proposed merger between Indonesian telecoms operators XL Axiata and Smartfren Telecom during its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).

Now Corporation has announced its intention to appeal against the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) decision not to renew its telecoms licence, a move that has rendered the operator inoperative. 

Indonesian mobile operator Telkomsel says it has expanded its 5G coverage in the Greater Bandung area of West Java, with 72 active 5G base stations now in operation in the area.
