It may come as a surprise to many, but variants of the Rolls-Royce Trent 800 ( which powered the Boeing 777 Classic) and the GE CF6 (which powered variants of the Boeing 747 and other aircraft) also power most of the world’s Western gas-turbine-powered warships.
