India’s 5G subscriber base has reportedly grown to around 250 million since commercial 5G services were launched almost two and a half years ago, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Communications.

Ericsson announced on Tuesday it has completed the expansion and modernisation of MTN Rwanda’s network in Kigali to extend coverage and make the network ready for 5G rollouts in the future.
Safaricom announced on Monday that its 5G network is now available in all 47 counties in Kenya, which it claims makes it the biggest 5G operator in the country, although the network still only covers just 14% of the population.
