DOJ Opens Investigation Into Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 Door Blowout

In the latest turn of events in the investigation of the 737 MAX 9, Alaska Airlines has confirmed that the US Department of Justice has opened a criminal investigation into Boeing. The Wall Street Journal reported that DOJ officials had begun interviewing passengers of Alaska flight 1282, where the aircraft was forced to return to Portland International Airport (PDX) because a door plug failure caused massive decompression shortly after departure on January 5th.
