All commercial flight attendants are trained in aviation medicine, CPR, and defibrillation, as well as using medical kits, and can deal with most common ailments onboard. The cabin environment can be unforgiving when performing CPR and defibrillation and offers its own unique challenges. Aircraft have standard first aid kits and emergency medical kits onboard, as well as an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), but crews also have extra help at hand.
