The US Airports Most Hit By Spirit Airlines’ Hefty Capacity Cuts

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Florida-based ultra-low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines made the headlines for declaring bankruptcy, marking yet another turn in the carrier’s long series of post-pandemic difficulties. To continue operating, the company was able to secure a large amount of provisional funding, but it became very clear that the Spirit which would exit the restructuring process would likely look significantly different from the Spirit Airlines of the past.
