It's fair to say that Boeing has lurched from one crisis to the next for years, but it is about to enter a period where its very future will be called into question, and decisions will be made that will shape the company's long-term future. Talks begin today between Boeing and the International Association of Machinists (IAM) on a new contract for more than 32,000 employees with far more than hourly rates on the bargaining table.
