In May 1974, Air France introduced Airbus’ first production aircraft, the Airbus A300, into service. Today, Airbus’ flagship airliner is the widebody and efficient Airbus A350. In 2016, Airbus wrote, “The over-four-decade-long Airbus success story is now an achievement that spans 10,000 aircraft – from the A300 to the A350 XWB and beyond.” And now that number has swelled to around 16,000 aircraft.
