Southeastern Europe telecoms and media player United Group agreed to sell its Serbian telecom assets in deals worth a combined €1.5 billion, as the company continues its refocus on core markets within the European Union.
Indian telco Bharti Airtel has reportedly accused domestic telecoms vendor Tejas Networks of installing “sub-standard equipment” in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL’s) 4G network, which Airtel claims is disrupting its network in the Rajasthan circle.
CelcomDigi said on Thursday it has signed several MoUs at Mobile World Congress 2025 – two with Huawei and ZTE related to AI-powered network evolution, and and one with Ericsson to develop private 5G solutions for Malaysia’s oil and gas sector.
MTN Rwanda commercially launched its 5G service on Tuesday, starting with 51 sites in Kigali, with plans to scale up the network to target enterprise sectors including industrial, healthcare, and education.
