Located in the federal state of California, Los Angeles International, widely known by its IATA code of LAX, is the largest and busiest airport on the West Coast of the United States. Its location makes it a key gateway for transpacific travel, although plenty of flights from Los Angeles also travel a long way east to destinations in Europe and the Middle East. These airlines operate its longest flights.
