American Airlines Confirms Order for 260 Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer Aircraft

The world's largest airline by fleet size is getting even larger. American Airlines announced an order for 260 new planes, with options and purchase rights for an additional 193 aircraft. Last year, the carrier received 31 aircraft across its mainline fleet, including 17 Boeing 737 MAX 8s, 10 Airbus A321neos, and four Boeing 787-8s.
