Emirates continues to operate over half of the world’s Airbus A380 Superjumbos with a total of 118 in inventory (of these, 95 are active and 23 are inactive according to ch-aviation). Another five A380s have been retired by Emirates. Until late 2024, Emirates famously only operated two types of passenger aircraft: the Airbus A380-800 and the Boeing 777-200/-300ER. But this is set to change, and it is now taking delivery of its first Airbus A350-900s and is waiting for Boeing 777-8/-9s and Boeing 787-8/10s to be delivered.
