Why Boeing Developed The 737 MAX 8-200

The Boeing 737 MAX family, since its introduction in the 2010s, has immensely struggled with safety issues, including a pair of deadly crashes and a high-profile incident involving an Alaska Airlines door plug detaching from the plane mid-flight. Despite these struggles, the aircraft remains one of the best-selling narrowbody aircraft of all time, and the manufacturer’s backlog is almost completely dominated by outstanding 737 MAX and Boeing 787 Dreamliner orders.
