Why Doesn’t Delta Air Lines Have A Hub In Chicago?

Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), a major international airport located around 17 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, is one of America’s most important air travel gateways. The facility covers over 7,600 acres and serves as the city’s primary transportation hub, with non-stop services to more than 240 destinations across the globe each day. The airport has been routinely ranked as the best-connected airport in the United States and one of the best-connected on the planet, offering a much larger array of flights than nearby Chicago Midway Airport (MDW), which today serves more as a regional hub.
