Nokia and STC trial long-haul terabit data centre link

Telecom Egypt and Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN) announced on Wednesday they have successfully landed the Africa-1 subsea cable system at the first of two planned landing points in Egypt.

A sixth subsea cable has been damaged in the Baltic Sea, keeping regional authorities on high alert amid growing scrutiny of Russian-linked maritime activity, the Financial Times reported. 

Orange Jordan said on Tuesday it has expanded of its fibre broadband access network to include Tafila and additional areas in Aqaba as part of its commitment to develop Jordan’s digital infrastructure.
