The Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA) is responsible for governing the laws surrounding drone use in the United States (Congress has also written some requirements into law). The latest craze of drones flying around airports and restricted airspace has drawn the attention of the FAA. The FAA has cautioned people not to shine lasers on suspended drones at night as most “drones” turn out to be mistaken commercial aircraft.
