David Tepper is a billionaire based in the United States. The hedge fund manager is also the owner of the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL) and the Charlotte FC of Major League Soccer (MLS). Tepper was born on September 11, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After growing up on the east end of Pittsburgh, Tepper earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics at the University of Pittsburgh.
