Jacqueline Cochran, an American pilot and business executive, was the first woman to break the sound barrier in May 1953. It was one of many records that Cochran had made as a prominent racing pilot. Born in May 1906, Cochran pioneered women’s aviation through various roles and associations in her career.

As requested by some of our viewers, we’ll be taking a closer look at the fleet of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for today’s video. The carrier is one of the two large members of the Air France-KLM Group along with Air France. Transavia is also in this group but makes up a much smaller proportion of operations. A fair bit has changed since our last examination of the KLM fleet and it looks like more changes are on the horizon. So, let’s take a look at the collection of aircraft operated by the Dutch carrier.
