Q-KON, Eutelsat OneWeb boost Smart LEO connectivity in Africa

Zimbabwe mobile operator NetOne has reportedly struck a deal with direct-to-device (D2D) LEO satellite operator AST SpaceMobile to expand the reach of its 5G services once the satellite network is available in Africa. 

Aspiring LEO satellite operator Rivada Space Networks announced on Tuesday that it has signed on new partners in five markets across Asia-Pacific, including the Philippines and Brunei, for its “Outernet” satellite broadband network.

African technology group Liquid Intelligent Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with US connectivity innovator Globalstar to deliver advanced 5G connectivity solutions across Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf.
