When aviation restarted after the pandemic lockdowns ended, many airlines found there was a shortage of maintenance facilities to get parked aircraft back into service and not enough flight simulators with available time to have pilot licenses brought up to date. With so many new aircraft on order and pilot shortages looming, simulator training is back in the spotlight, although easyJet and CAE have their own solution in place.
