Russia Sacks Yakolev CEO & Tupolev MD For Failure Of Civil Aviation Program

According to the Russian news outlet, Kommersant, Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has sacked Andrey Boginsky, CEO of PJSC Yakovlev, and Konstantin Timofeev, Managing Director of JSC Tupolev. They have been removed for the “failure of the civil aviation program,” seemingly suggesting that Russia’s plan to produce 1,000 passenger aircraft by 2030 indigenously is not going to plan.
