In July 2002, a Swiss International Air Lines Saab 2000 (registered as HB-IZY) operating Flight 850 failed to land at its intended destination at Fuhlsbttel Airport in Germany due to inclement weather. The pilots made multiple unsuccessful attempts at nearby airports before deciding to land at Werneuchen.

Virgin Atlantic, the UKs other major carrier, has been continuing to modernize its fleet over the past few years. In terms of average age, it must be one of the worlds youngest fleets at just under seven and a half years at the time of making this video! Indeed, the carriers collection now consists of all widebody twinjets and mostly of the newer generations.
