Unlike most US carriers, Allegiant Air operates a there-and-back network, where pilots and flight attendants return to their base at the end of their shift. This saves on hotels and meals and keeps things much more cost-effective and straightforward. It can also conduct routine maintenance overnight at its bases rather than at outstations, reducing costs and streamlining everything.
