First taking to the skies on January 1st, 1983 with Eastern Air Lines, the Boeing 757-200 was by far the most popular aircraft in Boeing’s 757 family. Despite over 900 757-200s being sold, the aircraft’s order book eventually dried up by the end of the 1990s, leading the manufacturer to make a decision it has been regretting ever since.
