Sunday, November 3, 2024, was a special day for low-cost carrier Avelo Airlines, marking the third anniversary of its first flight from Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport. Since that day in 2021, the airline has carried more than 2.6 million customers and operated nearly 20,000 flights at the airport, bringing affordable and reliable air travel opportunities to the region.
