ABC chair Kim Williams is flagging a ‘cultural renewal’ for the taxpayer-funded broadcaster in coming months, after a dramatic fall in its TV and radio audiences.
It comes with Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane still unable to pass most pre-COVID metrics, largely due to stagnating domestic numbers caused by a reduction in business travel alongside cost-of-living pressures.
In a trading update posted to the ASX, Alliance predicted pre-tax profits exceeding the consensus forecast of $83.9 million, with full-year results to be released after the close of trade on 14 August.
