What Was Special About The Cessna 120?

The Cessna Aircraft Company, which today is a major subsidiary of the Providence, Rhode Island-based Textron Corporation, has a long history of manufacturing general aviation aircraft that dates back to the first few years following the end of World War II. The Cessna 120 & 140 family, a line of single-engine, two-seat conventional general aviation monoplanes that first hit the market in 1946, were among the first planes to be produced by the company and paved the way for many of the company’s later models, many of which remain as global bestselling aircraft today.
