Airports often feel proud of setting and breaking records. The post-pandemic travel rush resulted in several instances when passenger footfall was closely monitored to see which new records were being registered. However, Norfolk International Airport in Virginia isnt exactly thrilled with the new record it has set recently.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified a new A350-900 engine variant. The aircraft type, which exclusively uses the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84, now has an Enhanced Performance (EP) variant. Airbus states that this Enhanced Performance capability is set to deliver one percent lower fuel consumption, which will provide airlines with a reduction in operating costs and emissions.
