On 21 February 2024, Chicago-based legacy carrier United Airlines announced that it would be resuming service between its primary East Coast gateway at Newark International Airport (EWR) and Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport (TLV). After these flights were suspended in October 2023 amid conflict in the region, these vital passenger and cargo connections between the United States and Israel are set to resume in the coming weeks.

Back on March 8th we reported that American Airlines was ‘double catering’ its flights to London Heathrow – meaning that flights heading to the UK capital would carry meals for passengers on the flight returning to the states. It’s not standard practice given most airlines contract a caterer at a major airport like Heathrow to handle meals. And so, after about 2 months, the oneworld alliance member has finally resolved its catering issues at the London area airport.
