Globe kicks off Lynk Global D2D SMS tests in Zambales

Globe Telecom says it has successfully conducted a trial of Lynk Global’s direct-to-device (D2D) satellite service in Zambales as of a series of planned pilots to test the service’s viability in the Philippines.

Thailand’s state telco National Telecom (NT) is reportedly at risk of losing its partnership with Eutelsat OneWeb, as the LEO satellite operator is said to be considering moving its regional gateway out of the country because of ongoing delays.
