US carriers Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines are finally merging after months of regulatory hurdles. While the carriers have promised to keep the two unique brands separate, the airlines frequent flyer programs are set to be combined, and the Department of Transportation has some conditions for the resulting program.
