The Sydney Metro is about to get a little bit faster, with the speed of the train doors slated to change.
The doors, which currently take 60 seconds to close, will soon close in as quickly as 45 seconds at most stations.
The speed of the door’s closure will vary across some stations, depending on how busy the Metro station is.
For example, door speeds will be slower at Chatswood as people will be transferring between train lines.
At Waterloo, the doors will close more quickly as there are fewer people hoping on and off the train.
