Aussie Airfares Falling But Airline Reliability Drops Way Below Average

In the first half of 2023, domestic airfares in Australia climbed rapidly to the point where interstate trips were starting to become unaffordable despite demand going through the roof and airlines recording their highest passenger load factors for years. It was also the year when airline profits reached record levels, while customer satisfaction plummeted to record depths, with poor on-time performance, reliability and high fares simply not sitting well with the traveling public.
