The Boeing 707 was the first jetliner designed and developed by Boeing in the early 1950s. The first aircraft, Boeing 707-120, performed its maiden flight in December 1957, and the first regular serviced flights onboard a Boeing 707 began with Pan Am Airlines in October 1958. Boeing produced several variants of the 707 between 1958 and 1978. Across all variants, the manufacturer built 865 units of the 707.
