I do not fancy sitting on this train for travel between Sydney and Melbourne or Sydney and Brisbane, would be expecting a better more luxurious version.
The ageing fleet of Xplorer trains are running late half the time and can’t get up to speed on single tracks, but the 10-hour journey still has much to recommend it.
