US Air Force Considers Assigning Bombers Autonomous CCA Escorts

General Thomas A. Bussiere (commander of the Air Force Global Strike Command) disclosed that the United States Air Force plans to pair advanced autonomous Collaborative Combat Aircraft (aka loyal wingman drones) with its upcoming Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider strategic bomber. However, he stated the Air Force first wants to see how they mature with fighter jets citing range concerns.
