Former Collingwood captain and coach Nathan Buckley has returned to full-time AFL coaching, appointed as an assistant to Chris Scott at Geelong for the 2026 season.
The 53-year-old fills the vacancy left by Steven King, who moved to Melbourne, bringing his tactical expertise after three years in media roles at Fox Footy and SEN.
Geelong announced the move during the trade period, with Buckley expected to balance limited media commitments while contributing to the club’s premiership ambitions.
Can only imagine he is getting saddled up for the senior coaching role at Tasmania?
