Network Rail has revealed that it has successfully completed track renewal work at Alfreton Tunnel in Derbyshire, after train services between Sheffield and Nottingham were disrupted last weekend to allow the work to take place.
Network Rail is warning passengers of disruption to train services later this month as it carries out engineering work that it promises will make the railway across North Wales and the Borders more reliable and resilient to flooding.
