Air France A350 Diverts US Transatlantic Flight Due To Denied Clearance

On June 28th, an Air France Airbus A350 flying from Paris to Chicago had to turnaround after passing Iceland! The diversion essentially gave crew and passengers a seven hour flight to nowhere. The Airbus A350-900’s Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 Gets An Upgrade

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified a new A350-900 engine variant. The aircraft type, which exclusively uses the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84, now has an Enhanced Performance (EP) variant. Airbus states that this Enhanced Performance capability is set to deliver one percent lower fuel consumption, which will provide airlines with a reduction in operating costs and emissions.
