A new railway line from Avalon Airport to Melbourne costing only a fraction of the contentious Rail Link project is being touted by David Fox as the perfect solution to the ongoing dispute.
The boss of Avalon Airport says a rail link into Melbourne could be taking passengers within two years after Tim Pallas warned Melbourne Airport risked losing state government investment to Avalon if it didn’t end its rail stoush.
“I’m not playing games with people around this. I’m not seeing the taxpayer held to ransom,” Pallas said today.
