Malaysian telco CelcomDigi officially submitted its proposal to build Malaysia’s second 5G network on Wednesday, while rival telco U Mobile has signed more MoUs geared towards making its own case to be the new 5G operator.
U Mobile says it has signed on OCK Telco Infra – a subsidiary of Malaysian telecoms network solutions provider and regional towerco OCK Group – as its latest preferred 5G in-building coverage infrastructure partner for its nationwide 5G rollout.
As the AI-powered ultra-broadband era rapidly approaches, carriers are undergoing a strategic shift from selling connectivity to selling services. Meanwhile, enterprise demand for secure campus networks is surging.
