Passengers who have traveled by road to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) will probably have seen the huge model aircraft on the roundabout leading to Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Back in 1990, as one of the busiest airports in the world, London Heathrow’s owners, the British Airports Authority (BAA), recognized the revenue-making potential of the roundabout and began to offer its advertising space to the highest bidder.
