India’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has reportedly awarded 5G spectrum worth INR610 billion to state-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) to ready the telco for its planned launch of 5G services sometime this year.
Bharti Airtel-controlled telecoms tower firm Indus Towers revealed on Tuesday it is making plans to expand operations outside of India into select international emerging markets – particularly countries in Africa where Airtel currently operates.
Indonesian telco Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison said on Wednesday it has signed a MoU with Nokia and Nvidia at Mobile World Congress 2025 to deploy AI-RAN infrastructure in Indosat’s network.
