New entrant promises to revolutionise India’s data centre infrastructure development

Saigon Asset Management (SAM) revealed plans on Tuesday to launch a data centre campus in southern Vietnam with a targeted investment of up to US$1.5 billion, whilst also launching a US$300 million fund to boost data centre investment in the country.

A number of news outlets are reporting plans by digital infrastructure company Equinix to build a $130m data centre in Santiago, Chile. This will be the company’s fifth Chilean facility.

UAE-based Edgnex Data Centres by DAMAC announced on Tuesday it has started construction an AI data centre in Indonesia with a designed IT load capacity of 144MW and a price tag of US$2.3 billion.
